Mangostin Thai Restaurant - Munich

Last week I tried this Thai place:

Food was incredible. It was really flavorful and spicy with a good level of heat but not really that hot. The place has a great ambiance. The wait staff is really classy. The wine list was very extensive (obviously very important for me). And the prices were reasonable.

I highly recommend it if you're looking for really good Thai. They also had sushi. It looked fance but I didn't try it.

Mangostin is famous, they also do cooking evenings where you cook your own dinner with their help. Makes a good company event...

and the Sunday brunch is fabulous

Is the sunday brunch buffet style or normal menu?

I worked there years ago and have been back as a customer loads of times.
think the brunch is still buffet style, has sushi on it too!
pricey but well worth it.
the beergarden in summer is a treat too!

I gave up going to Mangostin years ago as i got sick and the squits afterwards twice. Its all ambiance and not in my opinion kosher thai (or for that matter sushi) food. The location is great in summer though... Its also too damn shicky micky..
Still on a positve note they use banana leaves as biodegradable plates...I'm sure these are not flown in at great cost to the environment at all...

I've been in Mangostin three times and I think their concept is excellent. The only thing I minded was the live pianist as it doesn't fit really to the oriental scene, otherwise both service and kitchen was very good. I am looking forward for the opening of the terrace.

Anyone know if the beer garden menu is the same (expensive) one as inside?
