Hi,

My name is Emily, I'm a 23 year old native English speaker also fluent in French and learning German. I currently live with my parents in Gauting and am looking for work either as a nanny for day/after school hours or babysitting in the evenings.
I spent the last three years studying law in the UK but prior to that I spent a year working as an Au Pair to a French family in Montpellier. The children were a 5 year old girl who was very energetic and loved to play cards and a 2 and a half year old boy who was adorable but having trouble learning to talk. Neither of the children spoke English so I was speaking French whilst looking after them so I don't believe that I would find it too difficult to look after a German speaking child. I lived with this family and my duties included taking the boy to and from nursery and looking after him on his days off. I also looked after the girl after school and prepared dinner for them. Most of the time I was also responsible for giving them baths and putting them to bed as the parents had very demanding jobs. I thoroughly enjoyed this experience and love working with children of all ages. Whilst working with this family I also offered my help to some of the older children in the neighbourhood who were struggling to learn English. I tutored and helped them with their homework on many occasions.
As well as this experience I also babysat for several families throughout my two years at college. The children which I looked after ranged from 2 to 12 years old.
