Headphone repair tips

My lovely little girl pulled on my headphone cord and it now has the wires exposed just before the jack, ordinarly I would throw them out and buy a new pair but as luck would have it these were my Sennheiser PXC 250 noise cancelling headphones that cost me a fortune.

I have been in touch with Sennheiser and they have said to send it to them and I will get it back in 4 weeks (i leave for Aus in 4 weeks so cutting it fine), I was wondering if this was a complex thing to do (really dont imagine it to be and google tells me it isnt, I have been wrong with this before) and if it is achievable where could i get the parts, if not any good electro repair shops in Karlsruhe?

Hi Greg, this is a tricky one - If I were you I would take the headphone along to one of the plenty 'Elektrofachgeschäfte' in your area and show it to them. There is still the old breed of 'Elektromeister' around they still know how to fix things. By their reaction you will know whether you've come to the right person or not.
