Our first Fall snow - Berlin

1 degree outside and it's snowing. It's already white here!

Holy crap, for real?

Here in Holland it's like 11 degrees and no chance in hell it's gonna snow soon.

I remember last year Berlin's winter hit me hard. Didn't expect it would get cold so fast. And now I'm jealous it's snowing over there... haha!

Lucky you, it's sleet in this part of town.

Last year somewhere in December we had like a week of non-stop snow and freezing, and eventually all the snow got compressed into a thick layer of ice on the streets and it was probably easier to ice skate the sidewalk instead of walking

I totally didn't expect all this snow! And of course, it is on this day that the heating had to stop working!

Hah, I hope the snow will still be there this weekend, since I will be visiting Berlin Friday 'till Monday

Amazing how less stressed looking out and seeing snow falling can make me!

Im South African and I've never seen snow, today was my first time lol! Really excited...

My first Berlin snowfall, gotta say it's pretty wimpy. I don't know how the natives would survive somewhere where it's actually cold.

Well, Kanadisch, let's see how un-wimpy you are when it gets really cold this winter but instead of hopping in your car and driving down nice cleared and salted streets you are hopping from s-bahn to s-bahn to tram to bus, falling on your face attempting to walk down sidewalks covered in four inches of solid ice.

Gotta say, last winter beat out anything I've seen in North America, not in terms of snowfall, but in terms of how absolutely a pain in the ass it was to get... anywhere. For a month.

I put €100 worth of damage on my bike trying to get around, learned my lesson, and decided to walk everywhere. Baby steps in baseball cleats was all you could take or else you'd be slammed on your ass.

Unless you have a car that is, in which case you, Bougie McBougiepants, don't have any place talking about the plight of us poor prolos, forced to wrangle with the elements while you ride comfortably. Hush now.
