go with the flow, my son.. I also wouldn't stay there if I were them. During the time of the DDR people used to stay DDR was the abbreviation for "Der Dumme Rest", i.e. those that didn't flee into the West. Now they are "free" but without any perspectives with some areas registering as many as 26% of the voters voting for the neo-nazis. Wouldn't you also leave? When the going gets tough the tough gets going. A slap in the face for the German politicians, that it should be.

where does it mention Berlin?
Stopped reading the article after "Communist upbringing makes them more self-reliant." The women they interview were on average in their mid-teens when the wall fell. They were still living at home, they knew nothing of being self-reliant in the true sense.
there was loads of single women there last weekend. loads. shed loads. all with russian accents though. confusing.
Funny this statistical fluke normaly follows me from city to city... This time its only a city near me, guess things are looking up..
Paul, the same thing always used to happen to me, except it was restricted to whichever bar I happened to visit on any one evening.
