Hi,
I'm working part time (5-14 days a month) for the forseeable future in Germany, while continuing my job in the UK. I'd quite like to be able to make use of German healthcare while I am there in case I get sick during my stay there. Is it possible to pay health insurance in both countries (National insurance in the UK and the basic German healthcare in Germany) and be able to go to the doctors in either?
Thanks!

seems an expensive way of doing things. Just use your European NHIC if you get ill abroad.

I would agree - you could simply ask for the EHIC card and be savely covered courtesy of German AOK while here. Another options is to take up an international insurance with ALC which allows you to seek first class treatment both in the UK and in Germany (and in any other European nation for that matter).
Cheerio
