Are there any fun jobs out there?

English Native Jobs requiring little/no German

vicmymic
Hi people,

Basically, I have got a part time job now and am looking for greener pastures in and around Düsseldorf. I dont want to teach English as a Second Language, and don't want any job where I have to take my work home with me.

I am a full time student but have a couple of days off during the week to contribute.

Any ideas? I was thinking about a Call Center job, or something which involves an open minded, funky team to make the work easier (I have never worked in a Call Center before so don't know anything about it)

Would asking for above 12 euros an hour be too much?

Thanks in advance

Vic

I do not know what's worse:

1 - assuming that call centre work could be "fun"
2 - assuming that any kind of work is "fun" *
3 - use of the word "funky"

* any replies in disagreement from assclowns who have one of those sickening "work hard play hard" attitudes are not required. Just log off your computer now, and go "play hard" somewhere. Perhaps on the motorway.

I doubt anyone would need to pay you 12 euros an hour or more to work in a call center- makes sense to offshore it somewhere else then where salaries are much lower.

Don't know if they are looking for part time but you may want to look into this posting in the NRW Adverts section

12 euro an hour, seriously! I'm more depressed with my life now more than ever thinking that this kid can even think of making 12 euro an hour. And fun jobs, there aren't any.

There are fun jobs. I used to have one. It lasted for about 4 years.

The tax payer paid me to spend about 9 months of the year skiing, climbing, canoeing, parachuting, paragliding etc etc..

Then I took 6 weeks paid holiday and the rest of the time I spent getting ready to go and do all the above.

That really was a fun job. Of course it wasn't what I was supposed to be doing. I was supposed to be defending Germany from the Red Menace but as they didn't seem to want to come and play I did that instead

Ah nostalgia - isn't what it used to be you know!

Edit - I know this has nothing to do with the topic but I just felt like a bit of bragging.

"As far as fantasy jobs go, chocolate tasting must come pretty near the top of many people's lists - children and adults alike.

However, sampling and buying the best sweets the world has to offer for luxury Piccadilly department store Fortnum and Mason is probably beyond most chocoholics' wildest dreams." from a website
