Continental Congress 2009

I'm certain we are all aware of the tremendous problems facing our country. Probably less of us are aware that most of these problems exist because, for many years, our elected officials have not executed their duties according to the constitution.

My purpose here is to bring your attention to a historic action now taking place in the USA to stop these violations and bring our country back to Constitutional governance. This action is the CONTINENTAL CONGRESS 2009.

The elections have been held, the delegates have been selected. The Congress will convene on November 11, 2009. It will be broadcast live by Webcast.

All of the information concerning the why, how, when and the hopeful outcome is explained in these two websites. There are some long reads.

I feel, as citizens of the UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, it is our duty to support our Constitution, and at this time in particular to support as fully as possible this effort.

I've read through that site and I wasn't able to find any specific constitutional violations that have been identified. This conference is designed to "publicly debate our Government's abuses of the Constitution and to consider practical strategies which can bring about compliance with our Freedom documents." Sounds like it will super productive.

Arriving at "practical strategies" in a roomful of hyperbolically ranting elected randoms with no agenda? Awesome. If you care enough to even read this thread after posting what some might consider spam, I'd like a breakdown of the agenda and what it is you're actually trying to accomplish beyond stoking an uninformed, reactionary fire.

Edit: The term Freedom documents, by the way, is super duper kick ass. (And I didn't give you a neg.)

The income tax has been challenged numerous times in court- and has lost every time. That does not portend well for the rest of the agenda you listed.

Being in the US illegally is a civil violation, but any lack of enforcement is not a constitutional issue or violation.

Redress for North American Union? How do you petition for redress against something that has not occured nor is reasonably on the horizon?

"Continental Congress" does that include Canada and Mexico?
