A organization representing German police officers has called for a ban on biker gangs, following a weekend of violence between the Hells Angels and Bandidos, daily Rheinische Post reported.
"The incidences in Duisburg, Solingen and Essen specifically involve conflicts between organised crime groups that have the highest potential for violence," acting leader of the BDK criminal investigative alliance, Wilfried Albishausen, told the daily Rheinische Posten.
"In such cases the state needs to show its colours, particularly if one affects one or another follower with the ban."
Albishausen advocated a change to laws in the state of North Rhine-Westphalia, where much of the violence between the two gangs has taken place. A state parliamentary committee is set to address the issue this month.

All I have to say is Good Luck...You can try to infiltrate, ban, or dismember a MC but that doesn't mean that they are going to cease to exist.

Unfortunately not.Generally speaking Germany is totally unprepared to fight mafia, at a political level mafia in Germany is not recognized. That's silly: 'ndrangheta is operating in Germany since decades.
A law against criminal organizations is too generic, it would help to fight biker gangs but not mafia.

Ban on biker gangs? What is that going to change? We have a few gangs in New Zealand as well, also the worst aren't really biker gangs but ethnically orientated patch-wearing brawlers who are involved in all levels of crime, but we have quite a few biker gangs here who could be counted as belonging to the 1%M.C. category, meaning they are the 1% part of all Motorcyle Clubs that is involved in crime.
A ban on gangs wearing ensignia and patches is yet to be legislated in full here, as it will have to happen in other countries.
But why should the other 99% of bikers be hassled by the law-enforcement(and that's going to happen for sure) even if these 99% are in general law-obiding citizens who just look a bit apart from the rest of the sheep, namely by wearing leathers!?
All nonsense I would say, gangs will organize themselves with or without patches, flags and openly confessing their loyalty to a certain group of people, so what does this word "ban" actually supposed to be !? Look into your news papers and you will see that the Motorcycle Clubs are painted as racist white power groups. Then check with the people that really track racist groups; like Klan Watch of the Southern Poverty Law Center; and they will tell you that it is untrue. These same "feds" go to the racists and tell them that the Motorcycle Clubs are Race Traitors.
The propaganda says that Motorcycle Clubs are "Organized Crime" and "International Drug Cartels". that these problems are all over money and turf for making more money.
If it is true show me where the convictions are? Every time you see a "Big Bust" it is for a string of petty offenses that the undercover agents bring to the members.
Look at the attacks on the Bandidos, the Gremium, the Outlaws and the Hells Angles by the SEK where they storm clubhouses during parties and put everyone face down into the snow with their hands tied behind their backs for hours on end. What do they find after they have vandalized the Clubhouses? Nothing. Some ball bats, some individuals' personal drugs for the evening that they threw down, and on a rare occasion a gun or knife.

You have made my point. The propaganda folks have you convinced that I messed it up for you. Now if I am a criminal how does that mess it up for you? What logic gives the SEK the right to put their jack boot against your neck if you've done nothing wrong. We moved past that thing about all black people can tap dance years ago. So if some bikers are criminals are all bikers criminals? How is the leap made to hold water? The man or woman that smokes pot is committing a crime. They really don't think of it like that but they are. the person that sold them that pot is no more a criminal than they are. Crime is crime and its toll on society is all the same.
Every year more cops are busted committing crimes than bikers but are they under the microscope? NO and they control what the media sees of it so it gets soft pedalled in the press. Most cases the cops are allowed to resign "for the good of the Department".
If there is probable cause for an arrest then an arrest should be made without an argument. I never said different.
