Left my bag on the tram - Berlin

I need help getting it back

LVKER
Early this morning I left my handbag on the tram between Prenzlauer Allee and Alexanderplatz. I've called Lost Property for DeutscheBahn and they referred me to the DB website, where I posted a description of the lost item but I have been thinking that maybe Lost Property found on trams goes somewhere else. Does anyone know or can anyone help me? Many thanks.

BVG have a lost property office here:

we were lucky enough to have success there a few years back when drunkenly leaving a bag on a bus! Good luck with getting your handbag back.

You should actually report it to the police especially if there is anything of value in it, such as credit cards, passport or money

You should also add the opening hours and telephone number:

Monday - Thursday 9-18 Uhr
Friday 9- 14 Uhr

phone: (030) 19 44 9
fax: (030) 25 62 80 20

It helps if you remember the line number and the approximate time of your travel.

That sucks. Good luck getting it back.

In the future, think about wearing a bag that you can wear like a beauty pageant sash across the shoulder opposite to the hip your bag is resting on. That way the bag is on your person while on the tram. This also discourages thieves when you are walking. I know, there are hot, pretty purses that are designed with short straps, but if you are loaded down with things, or drunk, this will help. Most of my bags are over the shoulder, and I do thank you for the reminder to think about my bags when I am not wearing that kind--as I am so used to just having the strap across my body and over my shoulder.

Best wishes again!
