Jobs in Gottingen

Hi there,

I'm new to this forum. I met a wonderful man a few months ago and I've decided to follow him back to Germany this coming March. He's studying in Gottingen and I'm hoping I can join him there. But I've been finding it hard to look for English jobs in this small city. So does anyone here know where I could find employment as an English speaker whose knowledge of the German language consists now mainly of swear words, a few sexual innuendos, numerous fake words my boyfriend taught me and some cutesy things that couples say to each other?

Teaching English as a freelancer is probably your best bet. You probably won't make too much doing it (at least not initially) but it would get you to Göttingen. Au pair is another possibility.

Since your profile says you are Canadian, coming on the Holiday Work Visa is probably the easiest way to come to Germany.
