Trust your doc. If he says you need it, then go for it. Better to not take the risk of getting swine flu if you are immunosuppressed. A minute bit of mercury vrs a lot bit of death is a no brainer to me. It's such a wee amount... we are hardly talking the mad hatter here. You probably ingested more mercury the last time you ate fish than in that vaccine.
I can understand where this attitude comes from... and can to some extent agree with it. However, it should be noted that the current format of our medical system is highly influenced by factors others that a pure concern for the health and well being of the individual.
When we consider the reloving doors that occur between the decision making bodies and the corporations they regulate... including those bodies who decide upon acceptable medical practices, i personally consider the state of the current system to be compromised.
The universities educating future practitioners are generally constrained by budgets issues, and often a major source of funding for those institutes are corporate entities with a vested interest in the industry as it is...
My only point here is that blind trust should not be put into the medical establishment.
Many of the practioners have only ingested what has been fed to them by the established medical franternity. Many have not taken the time to further educate themselves on many, many issues.
PLEASE NOTE - I'm not saying that doctors are not to be trusted. I am saying that perhaps there are alternatve views that are not being represented in today's society of which many, including the doctors themselves, are not aware of.
