Direct flights to England from around Dresden

Hi. I am wanting to fly back to the UK on the 19.12.09 with a return for the 03.01.10. From what I have seen, the only direct flight I seem to be able to get is Berlin Schoenfeld to an airport in London with German Wings, however, they haven't got this date. It has to be these dates that I leave and return. I don't believe there are direct flights to England from what I have found, from Dresden airport, or am I wrong here?

You are correct, unfortunatley there are no direct flights to England from Dresden. Ryanair flies from Altenburg (near Leipzig) to London-Stansted but it's a hassle to get to Altenburg IMO.

Don't know where exactly you want to fly in the UK, but there are several connections that require changes in Frankfurt or so. Airfare for London Heathrow e.g. with Lufthansa is only 144 Euro on expedia.de.

FYI, there's a bus that goes from Dresden to Berlin Schönefeld if you decide to go that route. I think you can board at the Hbf at Bayrische Str at various designated times, but you can confirm at this website:
