Looking for the perfect DSL Line - Germany

That fits my needs

MattSid
I know that there are already a lot of threads about the DSL lines, but I should admit that I'm a bit confused about the offers, so I would try to ask an help for found a DSL line for mine needs

I moved in an apartment in Berlin without any connection and I'm planning to live here for 3 months and maybe longer.
So that's are the points that I need:

  • Max 35€/month
  • An contract agreement that could be ended when I want (no minimum contract so, mine landowner wouldn't want to pay an unused DSL line)
  • A true DSL Flat line (No time/download/software limits)
  • A decent speed (2Mbit and upper would be ok)
  • No installation cost
  • A free or rented modem for a cheap price

Right now in the house there isn't even the telephone but just the connection plug. Anyway I just need the internet service and no telephone.

If someone knows a good company that could offer a similar service let me know Thank you in advance!

Alice light at 25€/mo.
RAMBO
3 months at Max 35€/month = 105€ and no installation costs and maybe a free modem someones gonna rich with this deal.
MattSid
The Alice light seems interesting but I still got some doubts:

  • The technical installation is obligatory? I could do it for mine self.
  • The minimun contract time is 24 months, but I could end it when I want (with 4 weeks in advance) and stop to pay, right?
  • The only extra cost is the modem return (9,90€) or there's something else to pay?
  • Which documents/infos are requested before sign the contract?
  • Is possible take the modem from an Alice store directly or I should pay for a shipping? the shipping is free or there's a payment?
bal00
-You can do the install yourself
-1 month minimum contract if you choose the 25/mo plan. 24 months if you go with the 15/mo for the first 6 months offer.
-40€ setup, 10€ shipping for the modem, 25€/mo
-don't remember
-don't think you can pick up a modem locally

Alice is pretty much the only game in town if you don't want a long contract, and you don't want a long contract because they're virtually impossible to cancel early.
MattSid
Perfect, thanks a lot

Now I need just to know witch type of documents we need for the contract.

I got also a dumb question, usually -beetwen the landowner and the tenant- who should pay for the activation cost (in this case 50€) of the DSL line?
JeffZ
You pay the activation cost.
MattSid
Ok, and about the needed documents?

There definitely has to be a dumber question to beat that...

BTW, OP, from where you come, Italy, who pays for the activation cost?
MattSid
I really don't know sincerely, that's why I asked.
