Note to job seekers:
Check the posting date. Employers tend to want people who pay attention to details and responding to a year old posting is futile.
If they give you an email address or website to which you can send your resume, don't post it here.
B1 is not fluent German.
This is not good English.
A space follows a period.

The ad was only posted a week or so ago
But yes, if you're gonna apply for a job requiring fluent english/german, at least make sure your written application is error free!

Dear Sir / Madam
I would like to apply for the position working as a bilingual assistant. Hopefully the position is still available.
My name is Astrid Barnard, age 34 and I am a qualified foreign language correspondence clerk for English and German, computer literate, with experience as an estate agent although it was a few years ago.
Currantly I work as a freelance translator from home but due to unregular income I am seeking fulltime employment and a new challenge.
I am looking forward to hear from you and be given the chance to meet you personally.
Regards
Astrid Barnard
Astrid Barnard

Apparently reading comprehension is something these candidates lack, as well as the poster trying to be a smartass.

I am always amazed that anyone indicates their interest in response to the OP other than by contacting the OP directly.

Oops, my mistake. I was in a hurry and must have read the "joined" date of the poster and thought it was the posting date of the topic.
Still, B1 is not fluent German. I'm almost through with B2.2 and no one in my class would consider him or herself fluent. Plus, the english is riddled with mistakes.
I'm all for the poster going for it, but he or she needs to do it in such a way that there is a possibility of success.

You are also supposed to send your CV to the employer. Why do people find this part so hard to grasp when applying for jobs on here. Your obviously not going to be very successful if you can't even follow the instructions to apply for the job properly.
