The recent placid mix of foggy and sunny weather conditions over much of Germany will be gradually replaced with heavy rain and sometimes stormy winds, the German Weather Service said on Saturday.
At least on Sunday, in the east and south-east parts of the country, regional fog will be initially chased away by sunshine. But thick clouds are due to follow, although they will not initially produce rain.
In the rest of the country clouds will gather and bring heavy rain while the temperatures will reach around 7 Celcius in the north east and a more cheerful 17 in the south west.

This isn't winter, it's November. It always rains in November in Germany.

not where we are STB. There is almost twice as much rain in the months of June, July and August than in November. November just feels more miserable cos you get the cold and short days to go with the rain.

In summer the rainfall comes in the form of short, sharp thunderstorms; in November it rains gently all day every day. In terms of number of hours of precipitation, November is far wetter than any of the summer months.

It's freezing, sideways rain in November (and December, and January, and...) that's the worst.
