I'm fully guilty of being obsessed with the Middle East. I'm scarred and at the same time, made to feel optimistic about the place. Countries only a few knew like Yemen are now common currency owing to it being the birthplace of the charmer Osama bin laden. Yemenis in my experience were bloody funny lads, loud and excellent mechanics. 

A lot think here I'm only into 70s bands. Not quite true.  my obssession with the Middle East remains strong, moreso after the slight cockup Messrs Blair and Bush made after 9-11. can't believe they were going to make the smiling murderer a chief of the EU. 

We used to attract on TT a fantastic "brown" skinned crowd of Asians and Indians. what the hell happened to them?
