A traveling film festival that celebrates hobo and tramp culture in the United States will visit Berlin on Sunday October 11.
The Hobo Film Festival stops at Betahaus in Kreuzberg, with a collection of fifteen short films and a photography series.
Many of the films deal with the theme of train-hopping – the legendary culture of riding around America on the back of freight trains. Though the practice is illegal and fervently prosecuted, train-hopping remains an important part of underground culture in the US.
