Hello! I heard that there are some apartment hotels in Munich. Is that true, and where are they?

If it's what I am thinking of, then there's one called "Munich Stay" over on Ottobrunnerstraße. To get there take the S5 from Ostbahnhof and get off at Weddingerstraße or Woferlstraße and walk up from there.

Hotel Max Emanuel, right by the Isar, Rosenheimerplatz S-Bahn, has appartments.

There's also the Astron Apartements. Not sure if that's the same place that 3 Lions mentioned.

Or Apart Hotels. There are two in Munich: Sendling and Giesing. BMW used to house the short-term Rover workers here when they came over from Longbridge.

I also know of "City Apparts" in Marsstraße by Hauptbahnhof.

Check out NH Apartment Hotels on Ottobrunner Strasse. There are ppl staying there for more than a year.

Try also Best Western Appart Hotel in Dachauerstrasse (just up from Leonrodplatz), or the Karl Theodor Hotel in Gern (Paschstr?)
mightypies
Mercure are known for their serviced apartments, might be a tad 'spenny though.

The Karl Theodor is good a couple of people I worked with were in there a while.

Deutsche Post also has a couple of places in Munich which someone recommended to me when I was moving over. One is at Rotkreuzplatz and the other near the Hauptbahnhof somewhere - link here They are about €45-50 a night for a self catering apartment thingy ie room with kitchenette

It's Stay Munich. I'm staying there right now. Not sure whether it's a company rate, but it's about €990 a month.

Facilities include: gym, one free shared internet terminal, sauna, weekly cleaning.

You can also live at the ArabellaSheraton at Arabella Park in Bogenhausen. They have hotel rooms and apartments as well.

Derag Hotel Max Emanuel is both a 3-star hotel, and you can get a slightly bigger rooms as service apartment.

Breakfast provided, and quite a good breakfast too. About €900 to €1000 a month.

Thanks to google ...

Here's one

and again

This one's out a little bit, in Vaterstetten

Here's a site full of them.

When I first moved to Munich I stayed a while in the Max Emanuel, one which is shown on that last link I gave.
It's just a short walk (3 minutes ish) from RosenheimerStr. S-Bahn and on a nice day, not too long a walk from the City centre.

As the topic title suggests I am looking to stay for one week (next week) in a hotel with a kitchenette in the hotel room. I know that it's easy to find a hotel like that at home, but I can't say I've run across any in Europe.
I'd rather something not too expensive, but I do need to be able to cook in the hotel room.
Does anyone have any suggestions for me?

Thanks!

The Derag Hotel chain has such accommodation available. The one in Gern (6 minutes from central Munich with the U-Bahn) is very nice.

Have a look at the web page here

Only one I know of is the Marriot, but its a Marriot so not very cheap, I friend of mine also from Canada stayed there for nearly 4 years!

The 4 Points hotel (Sheraton) at Schwanthalerstr 111 offers some rooms with cooking facilities.

Can anyone recommend a long term stay hotel/apartment in Munich? Price is no issue. I'm looking for a 3 month + facility with the works (TV/Internet/Gym).
