How much does it cost to get in a club? (nightlife

How much does it usually costs to get in a club on a friday or saturday night?
And are there any clubs with reggae or dancehall music that you know of?

It is a long time since I lived in Franfurt (five years) but when I did there was not much Regga or Dancehall scene. However, in Munich there is a Reggae and Dancehall seen - quite big. It not really my scene to be honest, but when I did end up in one place the guys on the door were so pleased to see me - especially when I said my Parents were from Jamacian. They were German and started trying to speak to me in Jamaica Patios (think I have speak that correct). Not a pretty thing.. German accent attempting Jamaica street slang....

There are one or two great German acts who sing really good reggae and dancehall. I took a CD home to Moss-side and had my family listen to it. They were like this Guy is black and Jamaican - and I am like: No he is white and German. You should have seen their faces!!

I will stop rambling as I have not answered your question.....

There is one guy in particular, a German Guy, who lived in Jamaica and he toasts like a native. It is amazing to hear. I can not remember his name but I will see if I can find it and let you know.

I wouldn't agree there's only two German acts that are good in reggae. Gentleman is from Germany, he is one of the best in the world, let along in Germany. Then there's Million Stylez, and a few more that I can remeber their name right now..

But I didn't meant if there were live performances, I was just wondering is there a club where they play that kind of music.

Gentleman is one of my favorite musicians in reggae music. He is a genious.

The one or two was not meant to be literal!!! And I got you about clubs not live performances.. I clubbed heavily in Frankfurt and there was not much of a scene for Reggae and Dancehall (not when I was there). As far As I learnt German musik scene were influenced partly by the Soldiers stationed around each particular city. In my experience, this meant that Frankfurt had a good techno and house in particular soulful house scene.

I was particular shocked when I visited Munich at that time and ended-up in a Dancehall club... just something I did not expect or associate with Germany at that time. But I never saw anything equivalent in Frankfurt...

I would love to bring some of my Jamaica-Brits friends to Germany to see White people into Dancehall and Reggae to that extent... Great side of globalisation....(but not Germans trying to speak patios though!)

I see... That's too bad. I hope there will be a dancehall party in one of the clubs anyway. If not, I will organize it.

There is a good site for parties here. I think it includes other musik than house... so check this out. It tends to be DJ and Musik orientated so should tell you if a good parties comes up.

I just checked ou Nachtagenten...it looks like many of the same clubs are going in frankfurt. One club that is more experimental with musik is RobertJohnson. Not sure it is still going but if they are they would be some which would/could invite a Dancehall/Reggae DJ.

It depends on the club and the line-up on the night. As a rough guide though, I've been to Cocoon and Robert Johnson in the last few weeks and they were both 10-15€
