I popped into
McMonagle Hair Salon. Owned by A Scottish girl named Anne Marie. Stopped by for Aveda goods...The place is nice but haven't tried it out...though she recommended I give Tanja a ring for colour.
Also checked out
this random Chinese restaurant and the random rib house but we won't go into that again.
Anyone else found any random new places recently?

Whenever I do see a new interesting place, I think 'How cool!' , store the name and road into my memory, then promptly forget it again 5 minutes later. I really need to carry my digicam around so I can take photos of it!

Just the other morning, I discovered a whole new world in the back of my wardrobe. Might write a book about it, if I have time.

I have the same problem where I really try hard to memorise something, like a place name, or the German language, and its *always* gone in 5 mins :-(
I discovered the 'Museum of Excrement' (really!) in
Haidhausen recently. Totally bizarre.

well, was it piss poor, crappy or just outright shitty?
/apologies all around but really I couldn't Not Not say it now could I...

I don't know the name of it, but it is by the Viktulianmarkt in a Passage towards the Rindermarkt. Right near where they hold the auctions. Well, it is either a Croatian or a Hunarian restaurant with huge plates of carnivorous food. It is always packed, I think partly because it is near a retirement home. But the food is excellent, grossly too much, and CHEAP. The food to me seems very similar to bavarian food, schnitzels, huge chunks or fleisch...but they have several specials for lunch around 5-6 euros with enough meat to last you the winter through.

kat: Where is that museum? That sounds so unlike Munich!
The Bakerys! Finally after living here over 4 years I have stopped trying to buy decent bread at the supermarket, like I used to at home, and have discovered the delights of Holzofen Bread and other Bio-Breads. Its great stuff, either toasted with marmite, or plain with some cheese... Good to know theres still discoveries to be made!
