Use of EHIC card

Can anybody advise on the use of the EHIC card in our circumstances. I will be working and living in England until we sell our house there. We have bought a house in Germany in which my wife and daughter will be living. My wife will not be working she will be supported with funds earned in England. My daughter will be attending a local school. The question is can they use the EHIC card until we sell the house in England and all settle in Germany?

Did you search Toytown before posting? I entered "EHIC card" (without quotation marks) into the Search box (top right) and the facility came up with Health insurance before travelling to Germany that might help
