Any interest in a meet-up? - Hamburg

Greetings!

Ages ago (OK, not ages, but 2 months ago), I called for all the none-German people to raise their hands and gather for a friendly meeting!

Since then, I developed a high level of Procrastination...

So let's all meet, it is about time!

I say, let's meet up next weekend, on Saturday, October 31st.

Because the idea is to meet people and not necessarily be engaged in massive drinking, I think that it is very important to find a good arena for the meeting. Not a club, not a smoky bar, not a restaurant; a place where we can have a drink, talk, meet, introduce ourselves and wear funny stickers with our names on (that was a joke).

The only place I have in mind is the Sofa Bar (Zoe II) in Schanze.

--> It is in a central place
--> It is kind of quiet and the music will not make us scream on each other
--> It is suitable for a small group
--> If we come early we will have room

What do you say?

If you can think about a better place (because at the Sofa Bar people might "get lost"), please offer!

I received so many messages after my original posting and I hope that all of you are still out there, wanting to expend your circle and get to know new people!

I'd like to join, but I have to work till 11pm on Saturdays...

I would definately be up for something I have to say it has been quite a lonely four months here in HH. The only social interaction I get is talking to my fiancee as my German stinks ...let me know if you finally decide on something.

Dear Everyone!

I was thinking about 20:00 so we can call it a meeting and not a party (and then continue to Finnegan to party!).

However, it seems to me that maybe a noon event might be more popular... what do you think? Judging by your reply I can host this meeting in my apartment and believe me, it is VERY small.

I think I will wait to hear more "I am coming" and then we will see; I will post the last decision on Friday evening so people will know for sure.

Please send a short OK msg if you wish to join on Saturday evening.

And if you work late,,, I have the feeling we might still be around at 23:00...
