TT needs to do this.
People could be questioned early morning on city thoroughfares and asked "Are these your clothes? Was he any good? Which positions did you do?" - it is very wrong, not at all PC but funny? Oh yes.

EDIT: and Peter Jackson to make Tintin and "The Lovely Bones".

Those watching the rugby will know this already, but I'm about to make Timmeh's year - it's back.

McDonald’s NZ Country Manager Mark Hawthorne says the purpose of the Celebrating Kiwiness lunches is to acknowledge true Kiwi spirit by connecting local legends with everyday Kiwis at the grass root level.
“Kiwiness is as unique to New Zealand as the KiwiBurger is to McDonald’s New Zealand. It’s in a country like ours that celebrities will actually spend time with and inspire our future heroes.
Mr Hawthorne says the relaunch of the KiwiBurger has been much anticipated.
“The KiwiBurger was a favourite on the local McDonald’s menu and customers have been asking us to bring back the burger for some time. It really is the original burger with beetroot and egg – a McDonald’s menu item you can’t buy anywhere else in there world.
The KiwiBurger includes a 100% pure beef pattie, Farmer Brown® egg, Wattie’s® beetroot, tomato, lettuce, Mainland® cheese, onions, ketchup and mustard in a toasted bun. The burger will be available nationwide as part of a promotion from 1 May 2007 and will retail for $6.20, with a medium combo available for $8.20.
But I want a Massive McMuffin which you can't get here either. Bah.

Funny Katrina..I'm sitting in McDonalds now (using their wifi) and just ate two egg mcmuffins... *very full*
I would have preferred some homemade eggs benedict though.

I feel sorry for the French, they're rugby team will be totally humilated in today's game. But Les Bleus will only have themselves to blame - they sent a significantly inexperienced team to tour New Zealand.

20-3 at half time so aye.

If it hasn't been mentioned above, another Kiwiana fine thing is the Beige Brigade - the lady who will be my sister-in-law in a few short hours, well her brother is one of the BB founders.

I'm not a rugby fan but how about Colin Meads and Wilson Whineray?

a) Sir Ernest Rutherford, who first split the atom at the Cavendish Laboratory at Cambridge University in the 19th century (referred to above but not by name).

b) The late Billy Apple, an avant-garde artist who ended up in New York (City) and became famous on the NY art scene. Billy Apple wasn't his real name but I don't know what that was,Anyway, he was a Kiwi.

c) Left-handed bowler Gary Troup who represented NZ at cricket. I mention this only because I was at school with him Papatoetoe in South Auckland (primary, intermediate & secondary) and knew him very slightly, not because I'm interested in cricket.

Billy Apple's name was Barry Bates.

On the topic of New Zealand artists, Len Lye also deserves a mention.

I am surprised that no one has mentioned (although correct me if I'm wrong) that "New Zealand can justly claim to be the first self-governing nation to grant the vote to all adult women". Something to be VERY proud of.
