Journalist tries to discover life as a black man - Germany

Just read this article Journalist Goes Undercover to Discover Life as a Black Man in Germany on the Spiegel English website. Despite the results of his "investigation" and having not actually included black immigrants in his efforts, I had to laugh about this picture:


Is it me or does this look like a foolish German guy trying to be black for a 1920s cabaret show? I mean would any black guys out there ever have such a messy Afro and a stupid looking German-style mustache? The African-Americans I know wouldn't and the Africans I know from South Africa don't look like that either.

He looks ridiculous

There is a write Caryl Philips who wrote a book "The European Tribe" about his experiences travelling thorough Europe as a black man.

I think his initial interpretation of how to "be black" tells us all we need to know. Dipshit.

Edit: That picture is not unlike the old SNL skit where Eddie Murphy went white.

Very apt quote. With respect to the subtitle, my money is on "idiot", or at the kindest "idiot trying to be funny and serious at the same time, unsuccessfully".

This entire article is politically incorrect. 'Black Man' or 'Black German' must be changed to 'Man of African descent' or 'Afro-Deutsch' are you may have a lot of left wingnuts up in arms.
