Ideas for school holiday

We are looking for something fun for our 8 year old to do on his school break, we also need to amuse a 1 year old. Wanted to go to Italy but too much going on that Nolan wouldn't be interested in

Is Nolan the 8-year-old, or the 1-year-old?

Gotcha. Okay, so you're not too worried about what Aydan wants to do, as he is still pretty portable? That was our philosophy when Kilian was that small. I've used this site for traveling with Kilian, to Amsterdam when he was 8, and Paris when he was 9. I also took him and Gus to Legoland last summer (K was 9, G was 3). There's a bunch of castles up along the Rhine and Mosel valleys, as well.
