Either shared or not, Can any one help?

panterf
Hi, We are an english couple just moved over from England, we have been here a month and are finding it very difficult to find a place willing to share a flat with a couple. Understandable, but we really are a lovely couple and very easy to live with. 23 and 24 years old. Very clean and tidy. Love to cook and enjoy a drink and chat. I am a professional jazz drummer and Bryony is an English teacher. If any one knows of any one or is interested please let me know. My email is lafinboyfin@hotmail.com
We have only until 1st Nov. to find somewhere and are getting desperate. Any length of time is fine. Please if you can help get in touch. Thanks!

have you already tried immobilienscout24.de?

you might also check the notice boards at universities for rooms and other wg situations.

good luck!

Hey, Thanks for your help, Have tried immobilienscout, its just a case of us being a couple that no one really wants us, people tend to just want one person...
Thanks again though!

Try zwischenmiete.de, we got our short-term one-room place from there. There's often short notice things available. Or the temporary section of craigslist (the main apartment rental section is mostly full of scams. If they look to good to be true, they always are).
Also studenten-wg. kijiji.de (now eBay small ads) probably has Wg stuff too.

Out of interest, how do you check noticeboards at universities?

Thomas, you just walk into the university and let the magnetic pull of the bulletin board drag you to the right spot Honestly, I dunno how I found them, I just entered each one and meandered about a bit until I was standing in front of it. Usually there are several in any given campus. I posted some ads offering proofreading work and got decent responses by tacking my flyer up on these boards. Most of them are filled with ads offering or asking for some kind of accommodation.

Granted, it requires a bit of leg work as they are all in different parts of the city, but if you're desperate to have an apartment (or offer your services as a proofreader) then it might be worth it.

Are you still looking? I have a small flat for rent in PB which might be perfect
