I'm looking for an editor for a short film I shot in London this summer.
Was wondering whether there was a more specific place I could advertise? A Berlin equivalent of Mandy's list or something...
I have no money, and can only offer a credit, so it would probably suit someone who has just graduated or is in between jobs. A good understanding of story and some experience of editing fiction would be ideal.
I also need a sound editor and a composer, so any suggestions gratefully received!

seconded! crew-united is great. I think it's way more satisfying than Mandy, actually.
also a suggestion - go to the film schools, Dffb at potsdammer platz and HFF in Potsdam/babelsberg and put up posters or ask someone if you can write to listservs or something. The film students here (especially at those 2 schools) are super talented and willing to work for reasonable to less than reasonable pay if they like the project There are also some smaller private schools around too.

I'll agree, Crew united is probably the best place to advertise.
But as luck would have it, I am a sound editor/composer. Ok, I have only done one shortfilm, but I have been producing music for the last 8 years and understand the techniques used. (I have much more experience as a camera assistant, but seeing as you've already shot, it's not really needed.) So, if your interested, I'm interested.
let me know,
-Nick

Hey,
Just seen this message! I'm a composer. I've worked on various shortfilms/videogames/dance performances and work with piano/electronic/orchestral. I've been doing it for 7 years now and recently just graduated from Dartington College of Arts having studied music composition. If you're still looking for someone, or you need someone for future projects then please drop me a line and I'll send you my email address. My work is also on http://www.joshwiniberg.co.uk and http://www.joshwiniberg.co.uk. I have a fairly large catalogue of existing work you can pick from (6 hours or so) and would also be happy to write to specific criteria.
All the best and good luck with your project.
