The gay scene in Düsseldorf

Hey, I'm new to living in Dusseldorf (moving there at the start of November). I wondered if there were many lgbt on the forum, if there are any lgbt meets and what the gay scene was like in the area.

I can't help you too much with Düsseldorf but there's quite a lot of cafes, bars and clubs in Cologne.

Hey Mike...

My partner and I just moved to Duss from Cologne. Yes there is a gay scene here, although not nearly as big as Cologne. But there is a small diverse scene here including a big dance event, I believe, a couple times a month. Most of the bars are on or next to Charlottenstr, near the Banhoff. But Cologne is only a 30 minute train ride away. It has a pretty good scene. I think most Dusselgays make the trek south on weekends. But, it really isn't so bad here.
