We (wife and I) are hoping to find someone from the Jena area with a van or truck who would be willing to make a trip to Hamburg and back from Jena to pick up our shipment of household goods from the U.S. (15 boxes of varying sizes - not too much). We would be going along, too.

We have recently moved to Jena from the States and do not drive. Our belongings are on their way to Hamburg via freighter ship and will be arriving at an as-of-yet undetermined time. Probably within a week or two. We're looking for someone who can be flexible in their availability to help us go get them shortly after they arrive. The pay is negotiable but we will be as generous as possible in paying for someone's time, and pay fuel costs, of course. We're not wealthy, so we're avoiding hiring professional movers. We're hoping for someone who is into small scale projects at reasonable prices.

Conversely, we would be willing to consider hiring someone from the Hamburg area who could bring the stuff to Jena, but we would then have the extra expense of getting ourselves there (to Hamburg) and back, as we have to deal with port fees, customs, etc. We would, I suppose, prefer the other scenario.
