Showem

  • sleep in
  • go to brunch (Wasserman, Forum, Lotterleben are 3 good ones)
  • go to Erdinger Thermabad along with the rest of the masses
  • go to Westbad or Pullacher Schwimmbad, which are closer than Erdinger
  • go to the movies
  • have sex, with a willing partner or yourself
  • surf the Internet all day
  • go to KPO early and stay late
Normally, when not awakened at ungodly hours by the last vestiges of jetlag, I sleep in, unless an all day event is on the cards, like skiing or hiking. Brunch is also a good Sunday activity. Sometimes a visit to the gym. Sunday is also a good day to see a movie. In the summer, beergardening is always an option.

I go to chapel, then clean out the chickens wee house. The rest of the day is lazy, usually walking the dog in the forest.

Sunday is definitely a good day to head for the mountains. Went off to the Ettaler Mandl yesterday. Awesome sights! Drove down to Ettal (just a bit further than Obergau on the way to Garmisch). Park there and head upwards. It's a hell of a hike when there's snow & ice everywhere. Got some great photos which I'll put up soon. Up to the top was just over 2 hours of hard slog, had a picnic at the top and then got the cable car down. Then a 4km walk back to Ettal to the car. Back to Munich and then off for dinner in The Big Easy. Excellent Sunday!!

Ahh the sunday review...

Lets take this sunday as an example

0300 - get in from bar, just a little the worse for wear
0800 - body clock wakes me up, tell it to f**k off and crawl back under the quilt
1300 - wake up again with stomach rumbling
1400 - hike out to town to find food, as didn't go shopping saturday, also use time to get train ticket as Hauptbanhof booking hall is quiet.
1500 - after being fed and watered, head home back to bed, more sleep
1800 - go and do the laundry
2000 - watch dvd
0000 - sleep

its easy really, sundays are a lazy day. if theres an ice hockey game, I will travel to augsburg in the afternoon, sometime its a trip to the cinema, when o'reillys was open, maybe a trip out for sunday lunch...

I agree with keydeck, the Alps are the place to be. Check out the BOB train (to Lengries, Tegernsee and Bayerisch Zell) if you don't have a car and as the days get longer, the normal DB trains to Garmisch, Mittenwald, Obertsdorf etc. are possible. Huge range of stuff you can do there, from flat wanders, to hut walks, to serious treks etc. There is nothing like a good feed in an Alpine hut, after a good hike up to it.

I also enjoy (as an amateur / entusiast photographer) a wander around Munich, if the light is good, snapping on route. Intermingled are, obviously, visits to various interesting interesting cafes or Biergartens as encountered.

OR, take a visit to one of the various Mueums, Art galleries, etc.

Possibilities are pretty much endless.

this sunday i finally cleaned and polished all of my shoes. vacuumed the toe-nail clippings that have been laying around all week and finished donna leon's 10th book. anyone wanna' buy it from me?

but when i'm in Toytown, usually a lazy breakfast, walk in eng. garden, coffee at the horse-stables place by the eng. garden or cadu or news cafe for a kick-ass expensive piece american-style cheese-cake, nap, then train back to stuggi.
