Anyone know if any of the big Furniture stores in and around Munich are open on Sundays for browsing?

I remember Ikea used to do this, but checking the web site it does not say whether they still do that.
Carm
sometimes Segmüller does it, but its always advertised in the weekly flyer when they do open for browsing.
Showem
Ikea still does it.

Kardstadt - the big one near the Wiesn site is open on Sundays - and that's huge.
SleeplessInMunich
By browsing, do you mean that they are open for you to walk and around and look at stuff but not actually to buy things?
Showem
Yes.

Sounds like a safe way to bring my girlfriend to Ikea then and not have her clear out my bank account wink.gif

I heard Ikea is closed on Sundays now - in Spring/Summer.
Showem
Ah Carrie, now that I look, you indeed may be correct. Opening times now make no mention of Sundays.
erdbeere
so is Karstadt on the Wiesn the only one open for browsing on Sundays?
Inflatablewoman
It's so shit that they dont open on Sunday. Hmm.

18th June 2006 is a Sunday shopping day in Munich (not just for Neuhausen - although there is a local info campaign for Neuhausen stores).

There is a furniture store by Odeonsplatz (on the Hofgarten side of Leopoldstr. which is open fro browsing on a Sunday.

The influence of the church here does indeed totally spank sunday trading - but it also gave you a day off yesterday.
