Hi,
Does any one know where I can buy an Italian cookie maker/iron called Pizzeli? The cookie irons in the US can not be used in Germany even with a converter (according to the US manufacturers I contacted). The electric iron is supposed to originate from Italy, but I was unable to find the iron in Italy when I was there or by searching the Internet. A picture of an iron is attached. This is only 1 model of many.
cheers
Paul

Assuming you already have one, get a converter of the proper strength and try it out. Remember, convertor, not simply adaptor. It looks like something you use with a person very close by, so if something bad did happen, you are likely to see the thing bursting into flame.

I didn't buy one when I was in the States because the manufacturers strongly recommended not using it with a converter. If I recall correctly, there is a problem with the cycles - European appliances use 50 and the US 60. Some appliances have problems with the convertion. Since the Pizzelli originated in Europe (most likely Italy), it would be much better to purchase it here.

Hi PaulS...bring your photo to the
kustermann , off the viktualienmarkt. If they dont have one perhaps they can point you in the right direction.
happy pizelli hunting, oh and I am a *qualified* cookie taster, just in case you need a *professional opinion*

I went to Kustermann + several other stores...no luck. I'm beginning to think that the appliance can only be bought in the US even though it is a famous Italien cookie. Thx
Ah well, thats that then...you could try a
a US manufacturer to see if they can point you elsewhere. Probably a goose chase but might be worth a shot.

And you might have more luck if you use the spelling "Pizzelle" as that seems to be used more and also ask about "neole".
