Where to live around Verden?

Hi
We are considering moving to Niedersachsen (around Verden town).
We would move with kids so basically we look for a friendly, quiet area, small house or an apartment with garden etc. We have 2 cars so bus/s-bahn/tram etc connections are not a must, though nice to have for sure.
Just looking at the map - south-east Bremen and around would be a good option probably.
Any recommendations? Thanks!

Have you looked at Verden itself? You could be on the outskirts. It has a good Autobahn connection and a direct rail-link into Bremen.
Or on the other side of Bremen is Oldenburg, which also has good Autobahn and rail connections into Bremen. Someone on this board lives there (cannot remember who right now) who could give you an opinion on the town and surroundings.
