Working as consultant for ALTRAN Aerospace Germany

Expected salary, job environment

ccasagra
I've been contacted for a selection process by Altran Germany about a job profile in the Space Business.

I do not know yet the proposed salary, customer and job location (I tried to ask some of these info but probably I'll not receive an answer about salary), but before the day fixed for the ALTRAN interview I've to finally reject or accept another job offer as DLR Staff in Bremen.

I cannot take additional time for this decision since I had already more than a month negotiation and we reach the "last minute" target.
DLR is offering me a public service contract E13/Stufe 5 with a yearly gross salary of about 55000 euro (further than this I cannot negotiate since it is public service).

I'm an italian aerospace engineer, currently living with family in Italy and with more than 10 years experience in satellite AIT/AIV.

Are there some aerospace engineers that have information about ALTRAN consultancies services, salary normally paid and job "conditions" ?

Is it better (on your personal opinion) stay in DLR public service or finally reject the offer and try to get more from the private "industry" ?

Thanks a lot

I had a phone interview with them in view of an interview in Hamburg.

They have a customer interested to my space business profile and they are ready to propose me two options:

- work as free-lance on their behalf (opportunity to reduce all the renatal and travel cost from Italy)
- work as ALTRAN employee obviously with a lower salary with respect to the previous option.

On both case accommodation to Customer side is on my side as travel to home.

Any suggestion from people with similar experiences?

Thanks
