Community Assistant for UK Market (400 Euros) - Berlin

Professional chatter for virtual 3D world

sMeet Communications
Community Assistant for United Kingdom (m/f)

About Us:
sMeet is a Berlin based startup that has already achieved the seal of approval by the Red Herring TOP100 Companies. We are building an innovative 3D chat and gaming platform, that already has over 1.2 million users in Germany, France, UK, Spain and Latin America. Using our browser-based 3D worlds, chatters can create their avatars, watch videos, listen to music, play games, chat and much more. We are offering a flexible part time job to someone with truly brilliant communication skills! The chosen candidate will be in direct contact with our users and moderate the 3D platform in the UK, offering support to our community team. Of course, you should therefore speak fluent English (it should be your mother tongue).

About You:
The successful candidate will be a definite extrovert with an enthusiastic personality who likes working with people. Although English is your native language, it is preferable that you are also fluent in German. In your private life you should be part of numerous forums and be familiar with online platforms, keeping up-to-date with the latest trends of Web 2.0. Ideally, you are looking for a part-time job (15-20hours per week) while studying, training etc here in Berlin.

Please apply in detail with an application letter and CV to jobs@smeet.com.

Please also visit our virtual world in advance and create a sMeet profile. Please give us your sMeet username in your email application.

Are you inviting applications for a job, or deploying the forum tactic of insisting people sign-up to apply for a job in order to artificially boost user figures and provide free usability testing data on your product?

This is an actual job - and we are conducting interviews this week. As the site already has over 1million registered users, we don't need to build up inactive users through forum posts.

It's nice that you're paying the princely sum of €5/hour then. Good luck to you.

Bollix. Advertise a big wage and it might help your flow. I think the person who posted this may be the one on 400. I believe you are living in a virtual world.

You don't need a music video by any chance?

Love those last two posts. We are looking for truly brilliant communication skills...so brilliant that we're prepared to pay 5 Eur an hour for them.

If your site has over 1 million active users, surely your business model must be able to generate sufficient income to pay a living wage? And, if it doesn't, you may need to pay the proper market rate to buy the skills to get it to do so.
