Almost new Winter tyres in Top condition - Munich

Only drove 500 Km in two winters

braveheart2
Dear All,

Since i have leased a new car (kombi) due to addition in our family, I cannot use my winter tyres from last year. The winter tyres on sale are really in Top condition and are almost new as I drove in last 2 winters, only in the Munich city and that too not more than 500 Kms. Specifications are:

4 Complete winter tyres with steel rims
195 65 R15 91 T
Dunlop SP Winter Sport
Bought directly from BMW Store in Munich
4 BMW caps (in case you need it for your BMW)
Since they are in my cellar, sorry I could not click and put photos

Pickup from Munich Moosach area - near Olympia Einkauf zentrum.

Proposed selling price: 365 Euros (Negotiable). Believe me the price is not much for tyres which are only driven 500 Km.

Please PM me if you are interested.

Any best offer?
SpiderPig
100€

braveheart2
Hmmm. that's way too less for complete wheels with tyres and caps which are as good as new. And it is a known brand "Dunlop". I am looking something in the range of €300 which is 40% of new price (i.e. €800). What is your last price?
SpiderPig
100€...

That was also my best price and the first price to-boot!
braveheart2
Thanks, atleast you started with the boot
Rasa
My offer is 150euro
braveheart2
Guys my last price is 250. I cannot go below this as it is 70% less that of new price and the wheels as I said are as good as new. Plus 4 BMW wheel caps are for free.
MrNosey
What's the ET of the wheels and DOT of the tyres and which BMW model were they fitted on?
braveheart2
They were fitted on BMW 318i 2005 Model E46. Did not get the other abbreviations ET and DOT. Please could you explain and I see you are in Hamburg. Is it feasible for you to pick up from Munich?
MrNosey
ET = Einpresstiefe (Wheel Offset) which is usually inscribed on the rim somewhere on the inside of the wheel along with the model number. It'll be somewhere in the range 30-50 or thereabouts. If you get the wrong ET then the wheel could be rubbing on the inside of the wheel-housing or suspension or on the wheel rim. Wrong ET will (probably) mean a TÜV fail, even if your wheel turns.

DOT = Department of Transportation. The numbers after the DOT label on the tire include information about the manufacture date (week+year) of the tire. This is the last 4 numbers. 'Old' tires should be checked for damage if they've been stored for a while.

I asked about the model because even models made by a single manufacturer don't have the same Nabendurchmesse. Can't remember what this is in English... It's how big the hole in the middle of the wheel is, to fit onto the end of the axle. That has to fit your car or you need to bore it out if too small or use a ring to get it to the right size to fit snuggly. If it doesn't match you're in trouble.

You should also provide the load rating of the tire. This is a number in the 90s and every model car has prescribed load rating minimum for tires.

All of these aspects of wheel and tire are covered by TÜV inspection and if you've got wheel and tires on your car which have not been OK'd by the TÜV and entered into your car's papers then you can be fined, not collect insurance if involved in an accident, fail the HU inspection,....
