Hi, looking at German cooking shows, and they seem to pour in a brown liquid from the refrigerator that sounds like "brewer." Last time I saw it used, they were making potatoes au gratin and cooking green beans with it. Does anybody know what this is? They also added butter, so it wasn't butter that I was hearing, I don't think. Thanks in advance for any reply.
