10yr Italian kid looking for friends in Heidelberg

hi everybody, my son David is looking for 10-ish y.o. kids in Heidelberg for fun, soccer, movies, etc. We are Italians and just moved to HD
where I got a position at the University. David is slowly learning German and English at school so having a friend
in a similar situation would be really nice for him.

Bardill, welcome to Heidelberg! Have you considered/contacted the Kids Club in Neuenheimer Feld? They run stuff for kids of visiting scientists (which I realize might not be your situation - you may be permanent). But they seem to be a bit of a community center for international families at the university, as a lot of families start off living in guest accommodation before they find a flat elsewhere in HD. The Kids Club staff may be able to hook you up with some families kids with who speak Italian and are at the same rough age as your son. Worth a try, maybe.

Thanks liebling, it's a very good suggestion, in fact we already contacted the Kid's Club since we are currently at the University guesthouse but so far we have been unlucky and we found only much younger kids; the two "right-age" kids we met there were both at the end of their stay and just left!
