Saturday Night in Bonn

Hi everyone, I'm Christine, 24, 2 weeks new to Bonn and my meager number of friends in the area are all out of town this weekend. Is anyone interested in doing something, anything? I'm working the weekend, so afternoons and/or nights are my only stipulation. Other than that, I'd be happy to see a movie or get a drink, or anything else someone suggests.

Any interest in seeing District 9? Actually, I have no clue what movie theatres even exist in Bonn, since I don't often go to the cinema but I know there's one in Cologne (haven't been to it but it looks close to the hbf) that actually plays English movies. People keep telling me to see District 9 but I don't really know much about it (apparently it's better if you don't). It's too bad they aren't playing The Invention of Lying anywhere cause I saw that in Dublin last week and it was pretty great.

As far as I am aware, the only cinema in Bonn that regularly plays movies with their original sound is Kinopolis in Bad Godesberg. Look for "O-Ton" or "O.m.U." in the left column. (The latter means subtitled original sound.)

The Rex Kino in Bonn Endenich als plays O-Ton movies... and is next door to the Fiddlers, a great Irish Pub where also a english Stammtisch meets up regular.

Bonn is a cowtown but it has almost everything to have some fun.
