Could anyone recommend a good doctor in Karlsruhe?

Paediatricians, GPs, gynaecologists, etc.

Hi everybody,

We have just moved to Karlsruhe and are looking for good doctors. Most urgently we need a pediatrician since we have a 5-month-old baby and he needs his regular check-ups and vaccinations. At the same time we are also looking for GP or a family doctor and a gynaecologist. A dentist is also on the list, but that can wait for now.

It would be great if any of the doctors, especially the pediatrician spoke English, but their reputation is more important - I can easily get addresses out of the phone book, but I don't know enoough people here (we moved last week) to ask whether they are any good.

I am not sure if it's important where we live, but just in case it is, we live in the former (?) Paul Revere Village.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

I think it is important to have a list of good doctors. These are the doctors I think are great.

I took my daughter to these two paediatricians. They had a great reputation back then. I think they still do. A friend of mine is still going with her children and has only good to say about them. I preferred Dr. Prömpeler's manner.

This is my dentist. I cannot cannot cannot praise her enough. I wish I had found her earlier. She is as gentle as is possible with a dentist. Her work is excellent.

As to gynaecologist. I have been going to the same one for years and he is great. However, I am sure there are many other good ones. If I were looking now, I would look for a woman gynaecologist.

And, just for good measure, here is the address my GP. I can totally recommend her. She has a practice with her husband. My husband is with him (when he goes which is rare!!!)

Boo hoo, I have just heard that our dentist is moving to Bruchsal (where she lives). So forget that recommendation.

For me; I guess I will just have to make the trip to Bruchsal every six months
