Cologne in January

Hi.....
I guess it's a bit early to post this, but, hey - I'm excited!
I'm an English teacher from Tasmania, and I'm moving to Cologne in January. No job yet, but my thumbs are pressed.
Cologne is one of the friendliest cities in the world, I'm convinced of it... I've spent many long holidays there, and have many German friends....but I'm keen to meet up with English speakers too to give my poor Germans skills a break from time to time....maybe do some rock-climbing at Ehrenfeld or catch some jazz somewhere.
As I said, it's early days...but this site seems fantastic and I wanted to introduce myself
