Living across cultures is an exciting and challenging experience. This four-part series prepares you to manage life abroad more effectively by raising your awareness of cultural differences and similarities as well as understanding their impact on day-to-day business interactions.

Understanding and appreciating the cultural adjustment process is key in this program. You will learn how to effectively manage your change and transition. Practical tips and tools are provided to help ease the adaptation process.

Bridging culture gaps and managing the inevitable culture bumps along the way can make for a successful and happy time living and working across cultures.

Program Goals:
• To understand and appreciate the complexity of culture and of a life abroad
• To take a journey of self-awareness: travel and meet yourself
• To examine reality and perception in understanding your new home – differences and similiarities
• To learn about and appreciate the cultural adjustment process as normal

Who Should Attend:
• Expatriates who have recently arrived or been here for a few months
• Employees and managers who work with expatriates and want to better understand their specific challenges
• People looking to expand their general intercultural knowledge and specific knowledge of American and German cultures

This well-balanced program is designed to accomodate all learning styles. Interactive presentations, simulations, exercises, discussion and storytelling are included.

Language: English (instruction & materials language)
Trainer speaks German and English fluently. Discussion, questions and answers can be in German or English.
