Hi,

I was wondering if anyone knew whether the supermarkets were open tomorrow? The Lidl near me in Altona station has late hours and even opens on Sundays so i thought it would be, but not so sure. Tried looking on their website but can't find anything.
Anyone know? If they are closed perhaps the ones on Reeperbahn????

Thanks

Amal

Normally, No. Its a German wide Public Holiday.

As opposed to the crap that's already there all day.

If the store is normally open on a Sunday because it's at a train station or airport then it should be open tomorrow as well.

phew, lets hope so...... :-)

A relief indeed.

Last time I tried to go to the Lidl at Altona station on a public holiday it was closed.

I would think that stores that are normally open Sundays wouldn't open on a public holiday because Sundays probably fall into a different category.

I just called Lidl and they said that the store will be closed on Saturday but open on Sunday.

Which? The gravity of the occasion or the possibility of our local Lidl being shut for the day (or God forbid till Monday ).

Just think of all those unemployed Germans that could get work if stores were open longer and on Sat & Sun................................ Maybe unemployment would drop below 20%
