Morning TT
Topic Title says it all, really. Just a reminder for those that may have overlooked this potential snag in provision purchasing planning...
Petrol/Gas/Fuel stations, and various Hauptbahnhöfe, will of course be open...if you fancy spending 30€ on a bottle of Jack Daniels, that is

Of course, not is all lost for those living near borders.
Lauterbourg is 25km from Karlsruhe. It is a good place to go for wine.
I went once on a bank holiday and it was full of Germans doing their shopping.

Let me see. If I forget that the stores are closed tomorrow, Himself will take me out for eating over the weekend. Hmmmmm.

i actually did all my weekend shopping yesterday so as to avoid the mad house tonight. it's amazing how people think the end of the world is near when they cannot do their shopping on saturdays. i'm actually planning on spending my weekend cleaning.

You know... I realise that it's a holiday tomorrow.. and yet I still thought... 'oh, after I come back from the all-day training course in Duisburg, I'll do a bit of shopping'.
Seems like I'll have to do it this evening after teaching. Great.
Sometimes, my brain knows things but doesn't actually make the connection...

I am filling in sand for my sand bag bunker right now. An unified germany scares me and the rumors that it being a socialist country strikes fear in this american's heart. Yanks beware!

Question about Day of German Unity: I watched NDR on the internet, because it's the only German station that streams 24/7 (minus programs that they legally can't show.) I saw some great documentaries about reunification (Als die Mauer fiel und Im Sog der Einheit), and I wonder if these were shown elsewhere around the country?
