Looking for a room in Hamburg

hey guys!

i've been sending hundreds of email on studenten wg and other websites to find a room in a flat and nobody answers. fair enough, i don't speak german, my course start in 2 weeks. but i'm fluent in english and french, easy going and i make crepes like no other (family receipe!)!

if you hear of anything can you please let me know? i'll be ready to move like... tonight!

It is going to be really difficult to find something right now. Maybe you can try it in the outskirts of Hamburg?

I had trouble finding something too, Hamburg is notoriously bad for accom finding esp in Aug/Sept/Oct. I settled for Harburg which is a little bit further away.

I recommend calling or texting straight away rather than emailing. if there's a contact number always use it. Good luck, I tried for about 40 rooms, went for 6 inspections and got 1 in about 10 days.

I'll see if i can find the number of an affordable rental service i used once.

thanx all, i actually have a visit on sunday morning in altona. i know it's bad timing and i know it's gonna be hard core to find something central but i work on the reeperbahn and my school is in jungfernstieg so it would cost me a fortune on transport if i had to get a 3 zones train card (76€). i can't afford it on top of everything else.
hopefully it will work out on sunday, if not, i'll stop emailing and call, promise
