Hotels near Zülpicher Platz

Good Evening,

I am Coming over to Cologne next February with a small group of friends for my Stag Party, i believe that Zulpicher Plaz, is the best area for nightlife, could any of you recommend any hotels or hostels that are close by?? could you also recommend any bars and clubs in that area??

Zülpicher Platz is central anyway and the hotels in the centre are not too far. Any hotels in the centre would do you when you know how to get from there to Zülpicher Platz. The place is very studenty but great for a relatively cheap night out. You could also try the bars and clubs round Friesenplatz too (which, IMO, are a bit classier and better for a stag do). Cologne is an easy place to get around and there are many bars and clubs strewn around the place, not just in one area.

Ok, many thanks for your quick reply, I have seen the A&O Koeln Neumerkt, it looks like this hotel is in between Zulpicher and Friesenplatz, so this may be a good option,
Apologies, if this may offend, but do you know if it is reletively easy to buy drugs in Cologne if so were

It depends where you want to stay and how much.

This hostel is close to Zuelpicher Platz and you could get a room for your entire stag do (if you're that way inclined).

Bars? On Zuelpicher Strasse - you've got an entire street full of them On the "ring" (Zuelpicher Platz until Hansaring), you'll find a lot of bars within stumbling distance (excuse the pun).

As for drugs - i dont have a personal experience but have had friends that have managed to get hold of stuff -i dont know what though. Its about knowing the right people, rather than going to certain bars/areas.

Hotel mado (on moselstrasse is 5 mins walk from Zulpichersrasse) is a great hotel,good value.it's a minute from the Luxor club Rose Club and Blueshell. nice area.
