Playgroup prenzlauer berg - Berlin

We are moving from Boston to Berlin, Prenzlauer Berg beginning of October and are looking for a playgroup/playdate with other english-speaking moms. Our daughter is 3 years old, bilingual and will go to a german speaking preschool till about 3 pm. So any playdate at a playground or coffee shop in the afternoon, preferably in Prenzlauer Berg, would be just perfect. Any out there?

I haven't heard of one - but would be interested in helping to start one based in eastern Berlin neighborhoods. I also have a 3-year-old girl. She speaks mostly English at this point, and she is in a bilingual Kita until 2 everyday. I am expecting another baby soon, but in a month or so, could be more active in helping get the group going.

Anyone else interested?

We too have recently moved to Prenzlberg and have English speaking children who are eager to make friends with other toddlers. Our daughter is 3 and our son is 1 and a half. We would love to get together and play. The kids will be in a German speaking Kita in the mornings so afternoons would be ideal, after 3ish. Would love to hear from you to plan a get-together in the neighborhood any time.

Yesterday my daughter and I checked out Mala's Playhaus on Fehrbelliner str. and it was great.
We plan to be regular attendees and I encourage you to give it a try!

Unfortunately Yuko, Momo and I already have plans for this Friday pm, but please count us in for next time. (We're also away next Friday, but I think after that we're here and free pretty much all the time.)

Since I'm new here I haven't figured out how to post a link to the thread for you all.

Our kids are way past the baby stage, as well as too old for Mr. Barnaby's Baby Babble, lovely though it was.

We're going to Das Spielzimmer to play tomorrow (Friday) around 3:30 pm.
It's a lovely little cafe with great play areas and truly decent coffee.
Oceane and Fin are rather rambunctious and I'll be the friendly blond Canadian running frantically after them.
Just listen for "Don't do that to your brother/sister!!!"

Anyone around this week who wants to get together for a play date?

I just moved from Virginia. My daughter is almost 4 and few up in the States.
It will probably take several months to get the kita gutschein and to find a good kita.
I am German and I would like my daughter to play more with English speaking kids. Are there any scheduled meetings this month?
We would love to come.

Hi there, moving to Prenzlauer Berg from London next weekend with two year old daughter, bilingual. As our stuff arrives the week after, we have some time and wanted to see if there are any activities or meetups that weekend that we could join? We would love to come.

If you've unpacked by Monday 23rd November, you could give the Four o'clock Club a try. The Club is being held every Monday afternoon from 4pm at a mum's cosy home in Prenzlauer Berg and is geared towards kids between the ages of 1-2.5 years old. There'll be half an hour of songs, stories and games for the kids followed by free play which will hopefully give the mums and dads and opportunity to relax a little over a nice cup of tea and a chat!

Reservation in advance is required so we know how many people to expect. The cost is 5 EUR including refreshments.
