So here's the situation, my wife has a Cruiser bike with no gears and foot brake. Perfect for where we use to live and in a City like München but not Coburg. I am sure there must be paths around the area that are good for a Sunday leisure ride... Puttz along enjoy the sights have lunch and make your way back to the car or train station.
Anyone have any suggestions?

Then look around that site.
Nice that you posted that route, because that was the only area in the area of Coburg I could think of, but we are also open to drive 50k to explore new areas...

try any major river, and there's probably a bike path running next to it, and they are usually pretty flat. For example, I've biked a lot of the Main, it's flat and well marked and beautiful. And there's often a train that runs next to the river also, so it's easy to use train stations for getting back and forth to the section you want to bike. I use trains all the time for bike trips. Finally, major book stores usually have a section for bike maps. Look for routes that go along rivers. good luck and have fun.
