Spiegel.de: Going Nude at Berlin's New National GalleryQUOTE
It isn't everyday that you see 100 naked women standing in the lobby of Berlin's New National Gallery. But on Thursday and Friday, a mass of women between the ages of 18 and 65 stood in the Mies van der Rohe-designed glass and steel architectural monument, wearing nothing but almond oil and see-through tights. The women are part of artist Vanessa Beecroft's new show "VB 55."
Sometimes you just got to love Germany

Went to a Spencer Tunick photo shoot once, where I go to be nude with 70,000 other people. Have to say I rather enjoyed the experience.

Can't quite see the point as the englsh garden in summer is full of nudes in slow motion too...
Perhaps this pice of art would have more effect where nudity is still taboo (like england for instance...)

@ phil99
good point about the EG.
hee many summers ago, took my mum down the English Garden for a stroll...she wasn't used to the nudey stuff going on but I have to say she wasn't bothered really...she had a good chuckle about it. in fact, she still remembers the old tubby nude dude on a bicycle...he was cycling towards us in slo-mo and his bits were wobbling all over the place. not very erotic at all but quite entertaining nonetheless.

I saw one of her events in NYC and it was interesting to see the crowds reaction - most of them felt more naked than the nude women.
The women in her pieces are usually immaculately made-up, have perfectly sitting hair and killer shoes on and become somewhat inhuman. The nudity is turned around upon the viewer.
Of course, this is the least naked nude photograph I've ever seen.
Click to view attachmentWhich reminds me -
the Helmut Newton Stiftung in berlin has got to be worth a look.

Didnt Dove already use this theme in their ads before this woman? Except the women of course couldn't be completely naked in the ads.

Nudity in Germany is very very normal. I spent a lot of time in 2002 lying in the sun on Starnberger Lake around lots of naked people and thoroughly enjoyed it!

Why does this classify as art?
